International Fellowships & Clinical Rotations

Leading the World in Vestibular & Equilibrium Education
In association with the world’s leading hospitals, medical centers and Ministries of Health, The American Institute of Balance is pleased to offer a 6-month fellowship onsite at the Institute’s main facility and Learning Center in Largo Florida, USA. Candidates with an interest in the diagnostic and non-surgical management of balance disorders in children and adults may apply from the following specialties of: Otolaryngology (ENT), Neurology, Physical Medicine, Physiotherapy (Physical Therapy), and Audiology. Applicants should have appropriate earned degrees and credentialing in their disciplines from their respective countries and societies. Observerships are also available ranging from one to 8 weeks.
Clinical experience includes:
- VideoNystagmography (VNG)
- Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BAER)
- Electrocochleography (ECoG)
- Rotary Chair
- Video Head Impulse Test (vHIT)
- Active Autorotation Test (VORTEQ and VAT)
- Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP)
- Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (VEMP)
- Canalith Repositioning
- Vestibular Rehabilitation and Concussion Therapies
- Patient and Case management
- Interpretation and Report Writing
- Professional Communication and Business Concepts

Workshops:
As an added benefit, Fellows may attend workshops provided by the AIB, Largo, Florida location, while completing their 6-month term. Workshops include didactic and hands-on training in:
- Vestibular Rehabilitation
- Post-Concussion Management
- Vestibular Assessment and Management
- Vestibular Assessment: VNG, vHIT, and VEMP Protocols & Practice
At the completion of the program, Fellows are eligible to be part of AIB’s International Faculty.
