FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 26, 2015 Contact: Rochelle Yellowdy Phone: 800-245-6442 Email: [email protected] PEDIATRIC VESTIBULAR EVALUATION & MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP TO BE OFFERED IN MIAMI, FL mch-image-headerLargo, FL – The American Institute of Balance is pleased to announce its collaboration with Miami Children’s Hospital to offer a Pediatric Vestibular Evaluation & Management Workshop.  This workshop is open to all Audiologists, Physicians, Physical and Occupational Therapists.  The workshop will take place February 20 – 22, 2015 at Miami Children’s Hospital, Miami, FL. Topics to be considered include:

– Embryology of the balance system –  Syndromic, otologic and non-otologic disorders –  Evaluation using motor milestones, behavioral and electrophysiological measures –  Vestibular migraine –  Canalith repositioning –  BPV of childhood, and more!

Course Director, Richard E. Gans, Ph.D., is the Founder and Executive Director of The American Institute of Balance: one of the country’s largest balance disorders treatment centers with six locations including three hospital-based facilities in the Tampa Bay and Orlando areas. He has presented/published over 150 programs worldwide and papers in the area of equilibrium disorders. His most current research is in the areas of pediatric, migraine and psychiatric aspects of dizziness. He is the author of numerous textbook chapters and texts ranging from diagnostic vestibular testing, vestibular rehabilitation, BPPV treatments and pediatric vestibular evaluation.
