Migraine Awareness – cVEMP and oVEMP

Makowiec et al (Otology & Neurotology 39, e561–e567 (2018)) retrospectively analyzed nearly a decade of cervical and ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (c- and oVEMP) in search of a generalizable profile for vestibular migraineurs. Consistent with the asymmetrical brain hypotheses of migraine, patients with vestibular migraine disproportionately show unilaterally absent or abnormal oVEMPs.
