Description

To maintain your AIB Certification, you must complete an online examination every 2 years. This certification renewal activity is designed to ensure certified providers remain current with evidence-based research and best practices within both the vestibular and concussion specialties.

Overview

The recertification process emphasizes ongoing professional development through the critical review of contemporary literature relevant to vestibular and concussion evaluation and rehabilitation.

The vestibular component of this renewal focuses on maintaining advanced knowledge of the vestibular system, emphasizing evidence-based assessment strategies, clinical reasoning, and management of complex vestibular cases. The concussion component expands upon this foundation by addressing current evidence related to concussion evaluation, clinical decision-making, and rehabilitation principles across diverse patient presentations.

Content for both specialty areas is updated on a recurring cycle to reflect evolving research, clinical guidelines, and standards of care. The structure of this activity supports advanced critical thinking, reinforces interdisciplinary clinical application, and promotes integration of research findings into day-to-day practice.
