This two-day workshop is designed for those who have attended AIB's Vestibular Rehabilitation Workshop or are experienced treating patients with vestibular disorders.  Advanced aspects of patient evaluation techniques and treatment protocols of adaptation, gaze stabilization, habituation and substitution for unilateral, bilateral, central and high-frequency deficits will be presented.  Also included will be advanced treatment information on psychological aspects including space and motion discomfort disorder, agoraphobia and conversion disorders will be discussed.  Attendees are invited to bring difficult or interesting cases for discussion.  Lecture and therapy protocols will focus on evidenced-based strategies with well-demonstrated outcomes.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of the workshop, attendees will...
  1.  Utilize appropiate assessment/evaluation tools to determine best treatment protocols.
  2.  Apply advanced treatment protocols to facilitate recovery of equilibrium function in patients with acquired vestibular
       deficits.
  3.  Administer subjective patient scaling and clinimetrics to validate treatment efficiency and efficacy.
  4.  Integrate evaluation and treatment protocols for successful management of challenging patients.

Who should attend:
Physical and Occupational Therapists, Audiologists and Physicians who have attended AIB Workshops or who have
a sustained interest and experience in treating patients with vestibular disorders.

Certification:
This workshop may be used towards certification or renewal.
